"The box itself is of some importance. It is made of a pulp mache and has interesting Kirlian characteristics.

"The current cost of duplicating this generator would be about $300 if you were starting from scratch, if you could actually find all the components, which would today be quite impossible. The Tut beads were a total fluke, acquired at a Joel Malter auction in 1972. They had been sold by the Egypt Exploration Society in 1936 at auction to raise funds for the society. These are not "mummy" beads. They were worn by some member of the royal family of Akhenaten and Nefertiti, probably princess Meryt-Aten in whose apartment they were found.
"The gold nuggets have been with me since we worked the '49er gold fields back in the day, 1978-1983. The gold nugget is solid, raw and natural, just as it came out of our local river when it was dredged and panned some thirty years ago.
"I acquired the ancient gum resin as part of a larger lot of antiquities and beads back in 1972, at a Joel Malter auction.
"The Biwa pearl came from a vintage Mikimoto collection. Lake Biwa is totally polluted now and has been for many years, and Mikimoto is among the most collectible of pearl items in the world.
"The NWA meteorite is very sweet. It's a fragment that contains at least 50% fusion crust, and is my favorite Spirit Stone.
"Diamonds, rubies, emeralds and sapphires are another story. Here's a secret most people don't know ... Those "chips" are cut away from a much larger stone. Some of them are cut away from stones that sell for $30,000 or more a carat!

"It was sometime in January and I was working at a great renovation job for an old member of the band Hawkwind. Maybe the best job I have ever had. Anyway in the mail arrives a delightful little round box with a coin mounted on a gasket, covered with wax and topped with I'm not too sure what. When I got cold, (Canada eh) I went in the cutest little cabin ever, where I had a fire going and had a coffee and watched winter in my garden. Wow. Also while this was going on my hockey team, (Canada eh) the Vancouver Canucks developed a very cool team thing. It has been a sad bunch for 35 yrs yet I have watched every game possible and enjoyed their tragic yet theatrical story. This year I have watched every game they played on satellite with my dad, who had been a great hockey player a thousand years ago. It is their time, but not gladiatorial, more solid human craftsman-like effort, but their time, cool.
"A couple of weekends ago Jocelyne my daughter, who is with child, came home to visit with her guy Joel, and my son Sandy who had moved to 'Calfriggingary' to seek a life. Jocelyne had him living with her for about a year. This had brought her back into the family by the simple act of helping. Very cool. Now Sandy has moved in with a girl and has a job which he has found on his own and is moving through the frozen tableau, (Canada eh) like a great big runaway heart on wheels. I am not kidding. It was the best family visit in about 15 years.
