The design of these earrings offers a unique take on the traditional Medicine Wheel, the symbol of all spiritual healing.

This design is a stylized mandala. Manadalas are spritual and ritual symbols that have been used traditionally in many of humanity's great wisdom traditions. As circular patterns, mandalas represent a vision of the cosmos spinning like a wheel around the central point, which remains motionless.

The center of this mandala is the fleur-de-lis, a lily flower. It represents blossoming, expansion, growth, healing. However, as this is a cornfield abundance mandala, this fleur-de-lis is composed of 8 cobs of corn, symbolizing good harvest in all areas of life. It's a symbol meant to bring you wealth, abundance, and success in everything you do.

Around the fleur-de-lis is a protective ring of 4 mammalian shields, one for each of the cardinal directions. Between each pair of mammalian shields is a flying cob of corn.

The mammalian shield has been used since ancient Greek and Roman times to symbolize protection, as the female breast and the Goddess were considered to be powerful symbols of protection at that time.

Please note these earrings are hand-crafted fine art, not mass-produced merchandise. They are made of thin solid copper because it can be embossed with a tremendous amount of beautiful detail. However this material is fragile. The earrings can easily last a lifetime as they are made of solid metal, but they must always be handled and stored with care to avoid crushing, bending or other damage.
